When I paint I use a number of different s.c. airbrushes. Among others a couple of Paasche VL's for coverage and different Iwata's for detailing.
The paint I use is Sikkens base colours and House of Kolors candies. I recently started using E'tac waterbased paint for artwork. For pinstriping my only choices are: One Shot enamels and Mack brushes.
Before the paint is applied, a large amount of ground work is done. Sanding and more sanding to get a smooth surface and open up the material for the paint to grab on to. In many cases one or a few layers of primer is needed for the paint to really grab a hold. Then the paint is applied, layer by layer and merged into the mural and finally coated with clear coat.
